Physical refining is the process of removing the non-glyceride components in the crude oil by degumming,deacidifying,decolorizing and deodorizing the crude oil.
Among them,deacidification is one of the important processes of oil refining.It is to remove free fatty acids in crude oil,and at the same time remove some impurities such as pigments,
phospholipids,hydrocarbons and mucus quality and beneficial ingredients such as tocopherols,sterols,sterol esters and the like.
Physical deacidification is a method of removing grease,unsaponifiable matter and odorous substances by passing steam through grease under high vacuum conditions.Compared with chemical deacidification,this methodhas no soap feet,so the oil consumption is low,the oil quality is high,and the operation is simple. It requires less steam, water and power,requires lower investment,and some heat-sensitive pigments(carotenoids)and odor The material is also removed by steam stripping.Compared with alkali refining and deacidification,physical deacidification has the advantages of large output,no soap foot generation,reduced overflow and reduced environmental pollution;but there are also very strict requirements for crude oil pretreatment, which is not suitable for heat-sensitive cottonseed oil,and Grease produces disadvantages such as polymers and transacids athigh temperatures.
